What it's like:

giga is a service based on-chain organisation focussed on design first marketing. We work with infrastructure and foundations to develop rich ecosystems, culture and community that encourage flourishing, organic systems.

We’re system thinkers first, designers second, marketers third. All of our clients come from our reputation. We do 0 sales, 0 marketing, 0 outbound. They come to us because they know us. We build what we believe in, in the truest sense. A decentralised, permisionless future, that’s beautiful.

Also, we move fast asf.

Your Role (Should You Choose to Accept It):

We’re looking for a skilled Front-End Developer who combines creativity with technical expertise and has experience (or interest) in implementing web3 solutions. This role involves more than basic coding — it’s about building seamless, interactive user experiences that integrate with decentralized technologies.

You’ll work on creating high-quality UIs, smooth animations, and engaging features while handling light backend tasks when needed. Additionally, you’ll implement web3 functionality, such as connecting wallets, interacting with smart contracts, and integrating dApps.

You’ll be responsible for (Day-Day):

  • Web3 Integration: Implement wallet connections (e.g., MetaMask), interact with smart contracts via libraries like ethers.js or web3.js, and integrate decentralized applications (dApps).

  • 3D Web Development: Build interactive 3D components with tools like Three.js or Babylon.js to create immersive user experiences.

  • Interactive Features: Develop browser-based games or unique digital interactions using Canvas API, WebGL, or Phaser.

  • Frontend Development: Create modular, performant UIs using React, Vue, or Svelte, with a focus on scalability and usability.

  • Backend Connectivity: Handle light backend tasks, such as working with Node.js, building simple APIs, or interacting with blockchain infrastructure (e.g., Infura, Alchemy, or The Graph).

  • Animations and Microinteractions: Use tools like GSAP or Framer Motion to add polish and bring interfaces to life.

  • Performance Optimization: Ensure fast-loading, responsive sites by implementing techniques like lazy loading, code splitting, and asset optimization.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers and other team members to bring creative ideas to life, ensuring all web3 functionality blends seamlessly into the user experience.

How we work

All of us are makers, none of us are managers. Therefore we work on the maker schedule.

We have 2 set meetings a week, 1 on monday, 1 on thursday.

We value flow, deep work, and individual impact. You won’t get a barrage of messages or notifications during the middle of the day.

Everything is based on value, not time. You know how to manage this best, so we let you manage it yourself.

We do have extra meetups, collobarative sessions, and lots of time in figma, are.na, throughout the week.

Ultimately, we believe the best way to become great at something, is to practice it over and over again in different contexts.

Values:

  1. Individuality > Tribal identity

  2. Narrative > Reality

  3. Focus > Scatterdness

  4. Detail > Time

  5. Self-direction > Management
